In its 17th year, the Women Who Mean Business program continues to identify outstanding business leaders in the Kansas City area.
The 2016 class includes entrepreneurs and executives of large and small companies. There are now 425 businesswomen who have been honored by the Kansas City Business Journal as Women Who Mean Business.
To be eligible, applicants must be engaged in for-profit business and be an entrepreneur, a top-ranking corporate woman in the Kansas City region, a partner leading a practice group or serve on an executive committee.
A panel of judges that included previous Women Who Mean Business honorees selected this year’s class from more than 140 applicants. Judges considered applicants’ past accomplishments, plans to grow their companies and community involvement.
Look for profiles of this year’s honorees in print and online Aug. 26. The women will be recognized at a luncheon the same day at the Overland Park Convention Center. You can register to attend the event here.
