This reality, along with the ever-changing and competitive healthcare marketplace, served as the impetus for four successful, high-quality Independent Physical Therapy practices in the Kansas City area to join forces early this year. This newly-formed entity, called KC Rehab, will serve as the glue to link each of these practices together. The partnership enables KC Rehab to share everything from best practices to staff, but also to provide economies of scale for billing and office operations. In addition, KC Rehab will serve as the engine for continued expansion through additional clinic acquisitions and new start-up clinics.
KC Rehab’s clinics were specifically selected due to their existing strength and reputation within the Kansas City market, and as such, each will proudly retain its original name, brand and clinic culture. These entities are now better positioned to share investments for the future and other innovations in the physical therapy industry.
This market-based consolidation strategy, led by PT Partners, was formed to BEST-serve Kansas City area employers, health systems, provider networks and most importantly – consumers. By establishing a metro-wide physical therapy group, KC Rehab can serve the community as one of the only value-driven rehab companies in the area. This strategy is demonstrated in all areas of operations, from low cost and high quality of care, to our partnerships with area providers around post-acute care packages, and ultimately bundled payments for these procedures.
